Listen to:

D'ANGELO.

Some of you may remember him, some of you may not, but point blank, D'Angelo is incredible. He's one of my favorite singers ever. I was obsessed with his last album 'Voodoo' and recently one of his songs popped up on my iTunes and I've been re-discovering his amazing music all over again.

Go download, "Untitled (How Does it Feel)", "Brown Sugar" and "Africa".

I won't steer you wrong.

  3. I remember him, but I can honestly say I have not listened to a note of his music. That may not be entirely true. On further thought, it is possible that I heard him and had no idea.

    That is all. :-)

  5. Wow I haven't thought about D'Angelo in years. Every once in a while I wonder what happened to him. He is so amazing and all of the songs you listed are great examples. His voice can convey so much emotion and is so soulful. Untitled is a prime example of that in my opinion. Now I have to go listen to him and I only have it on cassette tape! I forget that I haven't updated all of my music! As much as I love all of this 'new' music - R & B will always be my first true love especially when you grow up listening to Luther Vandross, Tina, Earth Wind and Fire and the likes. Thanks for reminding about this amazing artist!

  6. Oh wait another song for you...Me and Those Dreamin of Mine by D'Angelo. I love this song too. Ok I'll stop geekin all over your blog. I don't often get to talk about R & B - I've neglected the R & B part of my soul lately. Thanks for letting me re-discover it!
